Video: Elephant Nature Park
Taking inspiration from Chiang Mai, Thailand’s Elephant Nature Park, a 25,000 acre sanctuary is being developed in Cambodia, 100km north of Siam Reap. So far, it has two elephant residents, both rescued from the logging industry.
Volunteers are needed to help plant trees, put up fencing, and help feed and bathe the elephants. Volunteer experiences costs start at $400 (for one week). Unlike the park in Chiang Mai, this sanctuary is not open to the public.
You can help protect the jungle habitat and elephants from home by making a donation to the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary.
